I still like to keep up with news from back home (New Zealand) and the site I go to had an article that some of you might find an interesting read. I know there is a thread about water so thought this might shed some light on the subject. I love water beit ice cold or hot... not so much room temp tho.
Here is a link to the page. http://xtramsn.co.nz/lifestyles/0,,12535-4628322,00.html (http://xtramsn.co.nz/lifestyles/0,,12535-4628322,00.html)
Happy reading! Hope it is of help to anyone struggling.

I drastically cut down on diet soda and now drink no sodium Club Soda every day. It has no sweetner or chemicals, just carbonated water, potassium and potassium citrate.
I know that drinking a lot of water can wash the potassium out of your system. Anyone know if the the potassium in club soda replaces it? Anyway, I am starting to like it better than soda. Diet soda seems kind of icky sweet to me now.

Thanks for the article! It explains why I lose more weight on days I drink lots of water and either gain or stay the same on the days I don't. I'm going for a glass of water right now....
Nice article, thanks for posting it.

Thanks so much; this article gives me the motivation to drink more water, since I find it quite a challenge, given I'm a coffee addict and lazy :) I'll pass it on.

I am really seeing a difference in my actual weight loss related to how much water I can get myself to drink.

I don't know whether the club soda's potassium replaces any lost by the body. I do know that on most lc plans a potassium supplement is recommended and a good idea...needed for heart health.
Great post Fair Lady~

I am glad I was finally able to contribute something that was of benefit to folks here. I have learned a lot over the past few years from folks who have posted here so it feels good to know something I posted helped someone else.
During my time coming here, I have fallen off the wagon more times than I can remember let alone want to admit to, but as of Monday (tomorrow), I will have been back LCbing for 2 weeks. Not totally strict mind you, but still about a 4lb loss so far and I am feeling better and my blood sugar readings are better. I only need to LOOK at carbs for them to rise!
If I find any more interesting articles I will post them too.
