I made some great vegetable soup today...I added lima beans, black beans, kidney beans, mushrooms, meat, tomatoes, black eye peas, green beans, and celery...I've had this for every meal today...I was just wondering if that's okay since I'm getting my vegetables...It's so good and eating this really makes me full very fast and I don't even think about eating anything I shouldn't

My menu today:

B: no sugar yogurt, a glass of V8
S: 3 pieces of smoked ham
L: 1 cup of vegetable beef soup, diet lemon tea
S: 1 no sugar added fudge pop
D: 1 1/2 cups of vegetable beef soup
S: none

I'm happy for you that you're enjoying your veggie soup. :thup: Please keep in mind the Meal Plan guide allows us 1/3 -1/2 cup of beans at lunch and dinner. So just watch how many beans you are getting in each bowl. :idea:

It sounds like you added more beans than veggies. I'd try to switch that around the next time you make it by adding more veggies and less beans.

I agree with what judy said about quantities...just be careful you're not getting too many beans in one day, however, the actual eating of the soup three times a day probably won't do you any harm. I usually have two servings of soup a day myself when I make it because I'm the only one who eats it and I also find it very easy!
