Interesting glimpse at what some Inuit eat, even today:
Hunting in the Arctic Wilderness (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/6055506.stm)
This is Inuit country. It is a hostile place with no vegetation, no agriculture and no natural shelter from temperatures that get as low as -65C.
We pulled up to some pack ice and the seal was butchered by Theo and his nephews. John cut off an eyeball and ate it whole.
There's some real Canadian cuisine right there eh, no doot aboot it.
