I've been on Armour for about a year and I'm scheduled for a thyroid panel (TSH, total T3, free T3, rev T3) and a lipid panel.
I need to be fasting for the lipid panel, so will go first thing in the AM. For accurate thyroid testing, does it matter if I take my Armour does before the test or should I wait until after?

Take it after, it'll definitely affect the test otherwise.

Yes, plus go to bed late the night before... if you want your TSH to be high. Sometimes we use this trick in the UK to get the docs to take us seriously. :D

good tip. I'll remember to try that. when my prescription ran out for a couple of days I took my husband's dose instead - his is about 25% higher than mine - and I felt EXCELLENT and it was a noticible difference than my normal afternoon feelings -- so no matter what the tests show I think I'll ask for an increase in dosage. we'll see - he seems really open to hormone therapy

Hmmm... didn't we just read that melatonin increases TSH?

I've read that it can increase on one site and on another, it decreases it. I await the trials. Certainly being tired pushes up your TSH.
