I was just diagnosed this week and I'm wondering what 'normal' is... I didn't (and still don't) know enough about this disease to ask questions.

Read the FAQ, it can point you to lots of information. Normal is relative. The new "normal" range that isn't widely adopted is 2.5-3.0 for TSH.

In the UK, normal is around 1.0 though my doc told me it was 1.4 to 4.0.

My TSH was 6.58 or thereabouts, fluctuating for warmer weather and fatigue.
