I was bemused to see the following question tonight on ABC-TV’s quiz show -The Einstein factor:
Which of the following has the highest carb count per unit weight?
A. Carrots
B. Cauliflower
C. Cucumber

One of the three contestants got it right, and the so called “Brains Trust” were wrong, although Jean Kittson was arguing for carrots, correctly saying they are sweet and must therefore have more carbs.

It is pleasing to see carb control (the title of the question) being seen as part of the mainstream. One is so much more likely to see nonsense about counting fat grams on Oz TV. Low carbing is sneaking in, willy nilly.
