What a helpful forum you seem to have here. Glad I stumbled upon it.

I hear a lot of talk about constipation... I am having the opposite reaction. This is day two, and I am doing ok on the other symptoms. I know, I know, lots of water.

I expect that the lifestyle will be ok for me. There are a few things that I will miss, but picturing sugars and starches as poisons has had a saluatary effect. Reading about how one can eat a ton of cake or bread or cold cereal (my favorite) and still be hungry has been absolutely true for me. I could consume prodigious amounts of carbs.

That said, three things bug me about the induction phase... the relatively small allowed portion of good vegs, the cold turkey coffee abstinance, and the prohibition on alcohol. I enjoy a scotch in the evening. I suppose that I certainly can go a couple of weeks without. As for the veggies, it just seems strange to have to limit raw spinach to 2-3 measly cups.

hang in there for those first two weeks while you de-tox ;)

After that you can up the veges some and even sneak the odd drink. I have to confess that I never stopped having the coffee :o

I'm a two a day girl, and it seems to have not been a problem.I just use cream instead of milk (I will prbably be struck down for giving that advice  )

As for the other little issue - your system will iron itself out. I went from one extreme to the other in my first two weeks - but now, regular as clockwork ;)
