Hi everyone,I joined this group a few months ago,but never really got started eating correctly,my health problems really got me down and I decided to just cop out instead of pushing myself.I hope I can find the right plan for me and stick with it.I need to get serious and tackle my health problems once and for all.I need some buddies to help me stick with it,hopefully I can meet a few here...

Hey Tarrenae! Welcome to the forum...as far a new way of life goes, here (http://www.lowcarb.ca/atkins-diet-and-low-carb-plans/) you can find some information about different low carb plans.
I hope that helps a bit! :)

Welcome! I too had a hard time getting started. I think I started a diet everyday for a week or so. It finally stuck and today is day 6 for me. I am feeling a lot better all ready.Just try and hang in there and do'nt give up.

You have to want it really really really bad - it's hard; I know - whether you are 100 pounds over weight or 25 - it is very hard - you have to want it more than you want the bad foods.

One thing I noticed Tarrenae was that this way of eating (for me its Atkins low carb) really helps my IBS (i read your initial intro where you mentioned this).
I lost 65 pounds a few years back on atkins and suddenly gave up due to various issues, but now I'm back for good. I think the thing is to just keep trying and keep your health as a focus. The weight loss is great, but the improvement to health is the most important thing.
I hope things are going well for you. Starting a journal here is a good idea, a place to keep track of food or write out your thoughts on all the issues around weight loss. Good luck!
