I was just wondering - I don't drink Milk and never have.... so I already know to take a calcium pill each day but what about a multi? If so... I saw that "One A Day" has a Carb specified vitamin as well as a Weight Control. Is there a difference between the two? :)

If you are eating a well balanced low carb diet, the low carb vitamin is overkill. I take a womans multi and ptoassium and I am debating if that might be too much. I want to start taking L-Carnitine.

I'm going to start taking a multi because I am pretty sure I do not get enough folate, and I don't think the little extra of the other stuff will hurt.

So you would suggest just a normal woman's one a day than?

If you are going to add just one pill to your regimen for now, I would recommend getting a multivitamin that also has minerals. Not all of them do. You can usually find a generic store brand that is imitating one of the big makers that will save you some money. I take a Centrum look-alike.

1. A high quality "mega" multi-vitamin - for women would be good.
2. Fish oil
3. Perhaps extra chromium
4. Extra antioxidants

then as needed for specific health issues. For example, sore joints is usually glucosamine, fish oil, MSM, and tumeric.
