I would like to start taking fish oil supplements. I have been hearing great stuff about omega 3s. What is your favorite brands? I do not want anything with a fishy taste, nor do I want to burp up fish. I was looking at Carlson Labs and Nordic Naturals. Are these brands good? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

It would help if you state where you live. ;)

Look for one that says it "enteric coated" to avoid the fishy burps. (Eww)

For maximum benefit, you need to utilize a fish oil that
contains high amounts of EPA and DHA. I personally
have had good luck using "Super EPA" from Swanson Vitamins.I take 3 of these babies a day.No fishy taste.
Lowered my triglycerides by almost 100 points in 6
weeks.Check it out at www.swansonvitamins.com.

I buy mine from the Life Extension Foundation, at www.lef.org. They have a sale in Nov-Jan when the prices get much better, so I buy a year's worth then.

Pretty much: The cheap ones will make you burp fish, the better ones will make you fart fish, and the best ones go through with no olfactory trace. It's a real clear case of "you get what you pay for."

I just use the Kirkland brand from Costco. If I take them with food, I don't get fish burps.
