ok so i am going grocery shopping today and as i was making my phase 1 food list of what to buy... i realized what my book says for ok phase 1 foods is totally different than what other sources say, like this website. FOR EXAMPLE, my book says absolutely NO milk or yogurt.. yet i have read other places that you can have ff milk and you can have plain ff yogurt. also, my book lists only a few nuts whereas other sources list a lot more nuts you can have... same goes for veggies.
i don't understand why they are so different?! would i lose more quicker if i followed the one in my book? or can i follow the list with more options and still lose?? please help, i am going grocery shopping after work and want to know what to do, lol.
Thanks!

The updated food lists that you see here are from the official SBD web site and are not in any of the books. after the book was written, the did change their minds on a few things and dairy was one of them. Also tomatoes are now allowed too, in phase I.
I do not think that eliminating dairy will make it happen faster...and at your weight, you will have a slower weight loss as you don't have a lot to lose so you will have to be patient with the process...this is not a quick fix.
What this is is a way of eating for life and learning it while you are losing is the right way to do this.
Good Luck! :D
