I'm trying to find out what the purine content of
lamprey is like.

The reason is we were eating a lot of lamprey when I had my
worst bout of gout (which was worse than any gout I had before
and led to its diagnosis).

I though gout was a potassium issue.

Nope, uric acid in blood precipitates in joints, organs, even
pimples. Failure to fully urinate uric acid can be from
overload of purines.
