on the recipe pages (or another site) is the "best" in your opinion both for the low carb-ness of it, ease of finding ingredients to make it, and of course FLAVOR!!! Or if you have a LC cheesecake recipe that you use, and isint there, and want to share it... I'd love to see it!!!! :agree:
I am having a little "back to school" party for my department on Wednesday, and was thinking I would make a low carb cheesecake, with some berries on top for our "dessert". Just looking for opinions. THANKS MUCH!!!!

Karens new york style one is my favorite. Bawdy's one is decent also.

I made Bawdy's yesterday. The ingediants are relatively simple. However, I subbed the Sour Cream for light sour cream and the recipe already calls for lower fat cream cheese. Its the naefchutel or however it's spelled. Use Splenda, don't use a liquid sweetner like DaVinci because it is a rich but not too sweet cheese cake, using the DaVinci makes it even more sourish so I'm told. It is a very filling cake, I can certainly say. I think it tastes better the second day than it did on the first day. It was very good all around.

Hi Cheese Cake people!!
Just want to remind you that cheese cake is dairy and needs to be counted as part of your 2 cups total of dairy each day.
I hope that you can have a small piece and then not have anymore cuz if it was in my house, I know that I would not be able to stay away from it until it was all gone!! ;) Thats one of the reasons why I don't make it.
Enjoy!! :yum:

what I do is make it eat a piece and freeze the rest, or take it to work and eat a piece, food dissapears fast there.

this is exactly why I am wanting to make it when I'm having a "party"... so that I can have a piece, and the rest will either be gone, or put in the freezer!!!!

Karen's New York Style Cheesecake (http://www.lowcarb.ca/karen/recipe062.html) freezes beautifully :)
... and I'm sure that it would be just as good if you made it with a low-fat, rather than full-fat, cream cheese.

If it's portion control you want, make Individual Cheesecakes.
Here is an example:

Individual cheesecakes....that's a good idea! I know me and I can see me eating ice cold, rock hard cheesecake, ha. I might try an individual sometime, ha.
Let us know how they turn out guys!

Kevin, that recipe for ind. cheesecakes looks heavenly. But, since I don't have Sweetzfree, how much Splenda would I need to use? And how many eggs to = the 4 T powdered eggs?
Thanks for your help.

8 drops = 1/4 cup in filling
4 drops = 2 T in topping
4T of the powdered egg = 4 eggs
