Hi, I've lost about 16 pounds in two months using South Beach with a twist. I try to keep my carbs under 60 a day and use the flex point daily calculator on line with weight watchers. I've hit a plateau now and wonder if I'm trying to have it all ways and should just stick to one diet. It just makes me feel a bit more under control. Anyone else out there try combining weight loss plans with success? lynnielyn

I have not combined plans but I did modify this plan as it allows way too many carbs for my body to shed weight...so I did it without any flour at all.
But I did it South Beach all the way. How long have you been at the same weight?
Congrats on your loss so far!!

Congratulations, Judy! 119? Wow! I think I'm just at a stall...it hasn't been too long. Still, I find it hard to follow one plan. I just wanted to know if others have combined plans with success. I might be eating too much fat and too many snacks. I'll keep you posted. Thanks, LL

I think the weight watchers points may be helpful as you are very close to goal so calories really count no matter what they are from. I think I'd not count carbs though. I'd go back to the basics for a day or two and do phase 1. You may trigger a loss with just a day or two of that to get you going again. I also would eliminate any processed snacks etc if any have crept back into your diet and see if that changes anything. I am much like Judy. I started at 230 and even now I cannot eat an actual phase 2. I'm doing a phase 1.5 with a few whole grains and a few fruits but, not daily. If I do them daily I stall instantly. I was really hoping this would change as I got closer to my goal but, I think I'm just very sensitive to carbs. Good luck!
