Has anyone tried Glucomannan?

I've come across several articles saying positive things about it. Seems to be a great supplement for some of us (like myself) that suffer from High Cholesterol, Diabetes and the need to lose body weight all at once.

~Glucomannan is a soluble dietary fiber that has demonstrated usefulness in the management of obesity, diabetes, constipation and favorable effects on lipids.

PRECAUTIONS:
Type 2 diabetics may require adjustment of their antidiabetic medications.
*It has the ability to lower glucose levels in people with higher then normal levels but diabtics within range need to watch as it may lower it to much.

Glucomannan may have laxative activity.

Glucomannan may decrease the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins found in foods.

Seems like you could say the same for just about any fiber supplement. Move stuff along faster. Feel full = eat less, theoretically (never stopped me; YMMV).

Yep, I know it has the same claim as any other fiber supplement. I'm looking for a change in my daily supplement routine and thought about adding this. I wondered if anyone used it and was pleased with it as a fiber supplement.

I tried Pysllium and couldn't tolerate it and for the past year I have been having freshly grounded flaxseeds added to a bowl of steel-cut oatmeal. The flax/oatmeal has worked but just getting bored....
