How much Magnesium and Potassium should I take? i do take some but I'm feeling a bit tired these days and think I might not be getting enough.
Also, got some Oregano oil capsuls too. They are 50mg each. Anyone have advice on how much?
Thanks,
L

http://www.worldhealth.net/p/aadr-magnesium.html
THERAPEUTIC DAILY AMOUNT:
The RDA of magnesium is 400 mg a day for men aged 19 to 30, 420mg a day for men aged 31 to 70. For women, the RDA is 310mg a day for those aged 19 to 30, and 320mg for those aged 31 to 70. The European RDA is 300mg.
MAXIMUM SAFE LEVEL:
Supplementary magnesium is usually only necessary on medical advice. The maximum safe level is 400mg.
Magnesium comes in many different forms: supplements, natural deodorants, epsom salts (for your bath), liquid (mainly for constipation). Most people do not get enough magnesium.

http://www.worldhealth.net/p/aadr-potassium.html
THERAPEUTIC DAILY AMOUNT:
2,000-4,000mg. Generally potassium supplementation is unnecessary as adequate amounts of the mineral are obtained in the diet. Athletes generally require more (3,000- 6,000mg) because of heavy perspiration. The maximum potency allowed by the government in supplement form is 99mg. Discuss higher potencies with a physician.
The best source of potassium is salt substitute that can be bought at most grocery stores. The main ingredient will say "potassium".

Thanks,
LMagnesium..1/2 the amount of magnesium as you are taking calcium, i.e., 1200 mg calcium/600 mg magnesium.
Oregano Oil..lots and lots depending on what you have 450 mg to 1800 mg per day in divided doses.

I think I read 300mg magnesium and 99mg patassium. However, it is very hard to OD on pattassium.
For energy, I'd recommend a B-50 or B-100 supplement. I take B-50 every morning and it gives me a TON of energy.

It is hard to OD on 99mg of potassium since the RDA is like 3,500mg. But I have heard of people ODing on potassium but they took amounts way above 3,500mg (I don't know exactly what the levels were -- I assume 20,000 mg or more).

Yeah. What I mean is you'd have to take A LOT of pills to OD. You'd basically have to TRY to OD. It would be hard to do it accidentally.
