I'd love to hear what this horn sounds like. The link
Lurenmusik der Bronzezeit at the end of the Wikipedia article
is not working. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lur)
I have some photos of lurers from NE Jutland printed in "Past
Worlds" published by Harper Collins, where the little mounds
are either seven or eight. I was also wondering if the number
of mounds changes the tone. They bring to mind several
associations that intrigue me: the areola of a woman's
breasts; the burial mounds made by Neandertal for unborn
babies; the configuration of palm prints made on the cave
walls in Chauvet Cave; and the symbolic representation of the
pleiades throughout ancient Eurasia.
Would anyone have a reference for me?
Danke
