I have no idea how accurate this is, but it was interesting to take this test. I tested as very carbohydrate intolerant. Not surprising at all.

Do you need a low carbohydrate diet or low calorie diet? Below are some tests for you to take to find out.

TEST I
SYMPTOMS OF CARBOHYDRATE INTOLERANCE
(Check any symptoms you experience on a regular basis)
__Nervousness
__Irritability
__Fatigue and exhaustion
__Faintness, dizziness, cold sweats, shakiness, weak spells
__Depression
__Drowsiness, especially after meals or in mid-afternoon
__Headaches
__Digestive disturbances with no apparent cause
__Forgetful ness
__Insomnia
__Needless worry
__Mental confusion
__Rapid pulse, especially after eating certain foods
__Muscle pains
__Antisocial behavior
__Overly emotional crying spells
__Lack of sex drive
__Leg cramps and blurred vision
__Shortness of breath, sighing and excess yawning
__Cravings for starch and sugar-rich foods
__Total
TEST II
CARBOHYDRATE INTOLERANCE
(Check all statements that apply to you)
__You are more than 25 pounds overweight
__You have had a tendency to be overweight all of your life
__You have a poor appetite and often skip meals
__You have food cravings that temporarily go away when starchy or sugary foods are eaten
__There are foods that you feel you absolutely could not do without
__Your waist is bigger than your hips
__You checked most or all of the symptoms on Test 1
__Total
TEST III
CALORIE SENSITIVITY
(Check all statements that apply to you)
__You had a normal body weight when younger but slowly gained weight after age 30
__You are presently overweight, but by less than 25 pounds
__You have a normal appetite and get hungry at meal times
__You have few, if any, food cravings
__You eat three meals per day
__You have gained a certian amount of body weight but seem to have tapered off (not continued to steadily gain more and more weight)
__You checked few or none of the symptoms on Test 1
__Total
TEST RESULTS
If you agreed with more statements on Test 2, (the carbohydrate-intolerance quiz), you should be successful on a higher-protein diet. If you agreed with more statements on Test 3, (the calorie-sensitive quiz), you should restrict your calorie intake. If you agreed with a similar number on both you can probably start with a higher protein diet and enjoy its advantages, but you will need to restrict calories later to continue losing weight.
