I for one think that it is about time that someone with the
stick-two-it-iv-ness of a R. Travsky will once again keep
all the loon threads alive on s.a.p. I was sick of seeing
all the McGint and Verhoeven threads disappearing like chaf
off the end of the message board, virtually unchallenged by
great minds!
Now, due, I believe, to a generous six-figure grant from the
US federali's, these empty challenges to the scientific status
quorum will never again go unchallenged nor forgotten in the
very short memory of a Googble newsgroup.
I hope this instills the proper feer of Gawd!! Please don't
make us call in JEskchelmien and Aldis Kuklyass to further add
to the posts here so that real (non-federally-employed) people
will be stuck here reading all night and all day as it was
several years back!!

The UseNet is dying, its being removed by one small ISP after
another. What is posted here and disappears here does not
matter anymore, the UseNet, thanks to people like McGinn and
Verghaven has become a puss-filled absess where the sun don't
shine. Various and sundry ISPs are trying to prick it to
release the pressure, eventually only google will carry it and
a few sex-spamming sites. One look at google will show that in
most sci groups the volume peaked about 3 years ago after a
prolonged plateau of posting and since has been in decline.
Mostly posters have moved to other forums with diminished
bandwidth of crap posting.
This little experiment in open discussion was a failure, a
small period of success was marked by the fact that only
computer savy individuals had access, which means it
required a little intelligence. ONce google and a few other
'easy connect' access came along, along with ready built
internet computers, any fruit-loop basically could log on
and spew out his/her garbage ad-nauseum. Naturally anyone
who had anything important to offer has left. ISPs IT people
realizing that, for example, a search on the UseNet of info
generally resulted in threads of 5 or 6 years in age as the
most valuable, then comparing those with better more current
information elsewhere have come to realize that the current
value of the UseNet is pretty much Zilch, except maybe some
alt.binaries......groups which most institutions have policy
and practice standards against their use, anyway.
In a way what you are saying is wrong, given that the
thinkers have moved elsewhere, and given the fact that noone
really gives a shit anymore what is posted, I think this an
excellent place for the bug- eyed marios and marcos to post,
consider how much noise is made when someone shouts into the
vacuum of space. I don't see the problem. Think about it
like this, do you expect ever to change Marc's mind or
Mario's mind with good logic?

And don't expect to change McGinn's mind without it.
Sooner or later you're going to have to stop whining and come
to grips with the fact that you have no dispute with McGinn's
hypothesis.

Phil eventually you will have to come to grips with the fact
that you have no hypothesis and you have no dispute with my
hypothesis.

Yes, Claduis Deek is the new alias of JGinn, and he speaks
even higher about these issues than Jim!
Go Travski, go! I hope you are counting Ed Conrads posts in
your total they are also perfect span/m.
