Actually started the gym 5/1, but just started LC 6/19.
When I started the gym I was doing the bike 15 min. and the eliptical only 5 min. That's one tough piece of equipment.
I've worked up to:
20 min. bike
16 min. eliptical (I break it up into 8 min. before and after bike)
I go 4 times a week. I rotate every other time with lower & upper body weight machines.
Loving it and feeling great.

Sounds like me. I started working out mid-February 2004, but didn't start low-carbing until the end of March 2004, mostly because just working out wasn't helping me lose very fast at all. And my poor nutrition made some of what I did lose muscle.

7/3/06 -- Had the day off work, but still got up at 5:00am to do my workout. Glad I did. It will help me stay in my routine.
Kenny got me an mp3 player. Went to the library and rented "The Whole World Over" by Julia Glass. She wrote "The Three Junes" which I read last year. Loved that book. This one sounds like it will great also. Although it is about a woman who makes a living by baking breads, cakes, etc. for restaurants. LOL.
Anyway, did my 16 min. on the eliptical, and 20 min. on the bike. Goal is to work up to 20 min. on the eliptical. Maybe one minute per week.

Weighed in on Mon. with a 2 lb. loss. But have made a commitment to only weigh in on Monday's. So no news to report today.
Success: Getting up at 5:00am to go to the gym today!
Still at 16 min. on eliptical and 20 on bike. Sometimes those minutes go so slow. It is helpful to listen to a book now on the mp3 player. Friday's goal is to up my eliptical time to 17 min.

I go through periods of weighing daily, and periods of not. :)

Went to gym this past Friday, 7/7. Up'd my time on the eliptical to 18 min. Yeah!
Only, I did weigh in. Was very bummed to see no movement. Had a cheat day. Basically gave myself an excuse. I went and did a confessional on it. Since then have eaten very clean.
Didn't go to gym on Monday. But definitely will be going tomorrow.
Did weigh in on Monday. Down another pound. This week I'm going to stick with my goal to only weigh in on Mondays.

7/25/06 -- Weighed in with a 5 lb. loss. Yeah!
I'm really giving it my all at the gym. I've upped my time on the eliptical to 20 min. And it's actually not that hard.
A woman I see at the gym came up to me the other day and told me that she can tell it's getting easier for me. She can see that I've made a lot of progress. That was so cool.
Goal tomorrow 11 min. each time on the eliptical. Total of 22 min. Plus lower body.

Great success today at the gym! Was able to do the eliptical for 22 straight! That is so amazing to me. What I've been doing so far is to break up the time by doing 10 min./eliptical, 10 min./bike, then back to 10 min. more on the eliptical.
The other day I did 12 min. on the eliptical before I went to the bike. But today I was feeling good so I just kept going. One good thing about not breaking it up is that I don't lose the in between time so I ended up having a few minutes extra to work on the free weights. Felt really good!
