Hey there,

For those eastern canadians, sobeys stores are so much better than Dominion/Loblaws/Superstore. I usually never go to Sobeys, but I had stuff to do this morning and Sobeys was nearby so I went to browse. This is what I bought :

Whole Wheat Triscuits
Box of All bran
Mushrooms
Snap Peas
Asparagus
Parsley
Rolled oats
3 packs of "no sugar added" chocolate
3 packs of fat free jello
2 cans of mixed nuts
97% fat free fudge bars (Sweetened with splenda 1g fat, no trans)
1 box of mini microwave popcorn
healthy choices spaghetti sauce
"fat free" chicken breast

I think that most of these things are ok to eat. Any input?

There was a whole section of sugar free cookies, wasn't sure if I should have tried them or not.

Your list looks fine to me, as long as you know All bran and the Triscuits and the Popcorn are for Phase 2. When you get the popcorn make sure it is the Fat free kind no butter. And don't go over your serving size. Stay away from the Sugarfree cookies as much as possible because they contain enriched Flours which we are trying to stay away from. In the Good fats good carbs guide for South Beach if I recall correct they are fine on occasions. Do you have the South beach Diet cookbook? There are some recipes to make your own cookies in there that you can have in phase 2.

Well edit this: I looked up the cookies and Sugarfree are not listed in the Guide, but in my opinion, if you have them once in a blue moon it shouldn't hurt ya.
Have a great Monday!

I am on the 2nd week of phase 2. The popcorn i bought was the low fat one with 2.5g of fat per bag (no trans) I didn't think the cookies would be legal to eat, but wasn't sure about the candy so I bought them lol. Thanks for replying, off to get some lunch ;)

Your list looks fine, just remember portion control with the things like the chocolate! Make sure you have those things as a treat :)

Introduce stuff in gradually ok?
:) I know I keep on....but it'll be worth it in the end! :D
