I just wanted to post the sucess of my wife.
I posted a few times with a handful of questions back in March.
My wife is uncomfortable with her weight so no pictures and I cant tell you the specifics of her weight. IE I dont know how much she was at start OR how much she weighs now.
BUT....I DO know her overall story.
She has tried diets for years and like most struggled and yo-yo'd in weight.
Now on Atkins she is able to do it without killing herself OR without becoming (HER words) "bitchy.(not that she ever was).
She started atkins at the end of March of this year. She had several goals.
1) To get healthier.
2) To loose around 100 lbs...maybe a bit more.
3) HOPEFULLY to loose 50 lbs by the time of our beach trip..at the beginning of June.
4) Even MORE importantly to go DOWN in clothing size before our beach trip.
At the time she was wearing a 3x.

Its now about 2.5 moths later.
She feels GREAT, her body aches MUCH less, she no longer wears 3x. She wears 1x! She could possible even wear some smaller clothes (though it would be tight for her to feel comfortable in..but she COULD)!
She has lost over 60 lbs!!!!
And we still have nearly 2 more weeks till our trip.
With her averaging now at 2 lbs a week she will probably be closer to 65 by beach time!!!
To say I am proud of her doesnt even cover it..BUT, I was and will ALWAYS be proud of her. Her weight is not an issue..Im proud she accomplished something she wanted to. Im extaticaly happy that SHE feels better about herself.
But I just wanted to post my pride in her sucess.
TY for this site and others like it. It helped us understand Atkins and low carb diets so she could not only decide to go on Atkins..BUT also to tailor it to fit her and so suceed!
TY!

Wow!! You guys amaze me. What an amazing man you seem to be for being so proud of your wife. I think if all of us had such support we too would be doing so well. Enjoy your beach trip, you both deserve it!! :agree:

What a wonderful support system you are! Your wife is indeed a very lucky woman. Not many men would take the time to tell others how wonderful their spouse is! She has done a wonderful job, how could she not when you were behind her all the way! Good for her, and pat on the back for being a wonderful husband.

Enjoy your trip!!! Both keep up the good work!!!

Wow, this is very admirable of you. I know my husband is the same way, but I also know there aren't many men out there like you. I am in NO way ripping on men, I'm not a man hater  I'm just saying. I'll stop now before I put my foot further in my mouth. I just think it's great the support you're showing your wife. It sure is nice to know that no matter what we do (as women), what we look like or what we say, our husband's love us unconditionally. And of course that's a 2 way street. Congrats to your lovely wife and yourself for being a wonderful husband!!! It sounds like you both deserve each other. Keep up the great work!!
