Hi everyone-
Day 5 for me and I've come to the conclusion that this only works if I keep it totally clean. However, I've seen a couple of posts on crystal light, so I added that in yesterday. My pink sticks went back to tan and all I wanted last night was pizza (I didn't cave, but instead ate a ton of chicken)

Do you think that crystal light is the problem?

It could possibly be. I think it's made with aspartame, which you're best off to avoid. There are new low-cal drink mixes by Nestea that are made with Splenda, they are really great. I wouldn't get all my water down without them.

Here in Mexico, we have a drink called Clight. I don't know if it's exactly the same product or not, but the first ingredient is maltodextrina. It's supposed to be five calories for an eight oz. glass. It's delicious, but it causes me to stall big time. Now I drink plain water or agua mineral; I'm feeling better and losing weight again.

Hi Paddy, I'm Just starting (again)tooand love Crystal Light. Try drinking as much water as you can and then have the light as a treat. Sometimes i water it down also half water half crstal light. Hope this helps.

i can not use aspertame at all, so i really have to check things, I use only things with spenda now, or i make my own tea with stevia.

I thought all Crystal Light had spleda. Now that I read the label, I see the powder stuff doesn't. Just went out and got the premade with spleda. I'll see how that goes.

Yep, the premade has splenda but the powdered uses other a.s.'s.

I made the mistake of using CL instead of water one time when I was re-starting Induction and I didn't lose nearly as well as I did when I just had plain water. I do water it down a lot - about 2/3 water and 1/3 CL but I think it still affected me. Now I try to treat it like diet soda - would you drink diet soda all day in place of water? Probably not :)

I agree with the idea that crystal light can stall people...though most of the reason is not always because of the aspartame, rather the maltodextrin content which raises blood sugar levels quickly in most people.

the maltodextrin raising blood surgar is what made me think it was a problem. Immediately my surgar level went nuts after drinkin just a little bit.
