Hi all,

I'm on my 3rd week of SB - phase 2. So far, so good.

I lost around 8 lbs. the first week and then it stopped. I don't expect to maintain that level on phase 2 but here is the strange part. I feel like I'm still losing - my clothes tell me I've lost more, but the scale is stuck! It's not the scale, I've tested it with known weights and it's working fine.

I guess I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I didn't add exercise to the mix yet so I know it's not an increase in muscle mass.

Any theories?

Heres a theory for you....first 2 weeks you lose water weight....then it can take another few weeks before you start to see real weight loss.

I saw a nice weight loss to start and then held for a few weeks before I started to lose again. I then averaged 1.5 lbs a week for a very long time.

Good Luck and have patience!! :agree: :D

ps- if you have added bread into your phase II, you may want to knock it out.

South Beach frozen dinners are not low carb and are not even healthy for you. They are loaded with salt and some of the Kraft foods use sugar, corn starch and corn syrup. evil stuff I tell ya!! ;)

Yeah, the definition of 'low carb' is up for debate at grocery stores lol

Shop the perimeter of the store and stay out of th aisles....buy fresh whole foods( meats, veggies and fruits, dairy) and you can't go wrong.

Anything in a can or frozen or prepackaged is suspisious and you need to read the ingredients to see what is actually in it.

ps, if you think you are doing SB by eating their prepackaged foods....think again because thats not the way the plan is written.

Hi, I agree, when I first started out on LC, I found that my weight loss stopped or slowed dramaticaly the third or fourth week. It's common, and if your clothes are feeling looser, then you're obviously doing something right!
Kepp up the good work, and don't get discouraged!

I suggested you start measuring yourself. The first week I lost a good amount and then the scale stopped for me, but the inches came off. It took a while before the scale starrted moving again.
Good luck
