i am trying to find some baking mix, so i can make bread, or any other stuff that goes with flour, but i cant find any of the products you mentinon for baking or the syrups in a regular store. I found davinci on line, but i hate the wait and the shipping costs, any ideas?

Like PlayDoh said, www.netrition.com is where they have basically anything you can need for a lc diet, they usually have the best prices, and shipping is only $4.95. Also, I order from them every other week and the day after I order, its already on my door step..........that could prob just be because I live in NJ and they are located in NY..lol works for me tho!

That website looks great! Thanks for the tip. What are your favorite low carb products?

By the way, I did see some Davinic syrups at Walmart in the coffee section, mainly vanilla, hazelnut.

cdcgic, i don't know what area you are in, but often times SF torani can be found locally in cost plus imports stores for $5.00-$5.99 a bottle, less than $4.00 a bottle at smart and final stores, and a much bigger of torani and davinchi sf syrups can be found at kash and karry stores for $3.79 - $3.00 a bottle. sometimes small local coffe shops and ice cream parlours sell them too. never hurts to take a peek inside the store and see, you never know.

oh, and it takes me 9 days typically to get my netrition order but i am on the opposite coast. on the other hand, i ordered sweetzfree on thursday night and had it by monday.

first time i got sweetzfree and i swear, the first time i saw the bottle and reflected on what i paid for it, i though i had to be nuts, lol! totally worth it!

of all the low carb stuff, i find the tortillas paticularly useful to accomplish many different recipes, but i love carbquik, zero carb bake mix, and poly d plus is my all time favorite. the stuff is like sugar magic :D oh, joseph's sf maple syrup is pretty amazing too. that also can be found at cost plus imports.

I buy from Netrition also. They usually ship the same day I put my order in and I get it two days later.

I consider some things necessities for me--Polyd and erythritol (for baking), Carbalose flour and Vital Wheat Gluten (for my yeast rolls), Carbquick (for cornbread and breading for fish), hazelnut meal/flour (also for cornbread), zero carb baking mix (which I use in place of Atkins bake mix--for pancakes and for fried chicken breading), and DaVinci's. Almond meal/flour is a good staple product too.
I also like Mama Lupe tortillas, Tippy Rosa Taco Shells, Bella Vita roasted garlic pasta sauce and Baja Bob margarita mix.

I like Maple Grove SF pancake syrup which can also be found at groc stores like Kroger but I usually just order it too.

If you like to bake sweets, you get better results if you have three sweetners to combine (for synergy)--I use Sweetzfree brand liquid Splenda, Erythritol and Sweet One brand acek.

Netrition.com for me also. I have been ordering from them since November 2004, and have NEVER had a problem. Fantastic customer service & inventory.

http://www.netrition.com/ is the place to go, lots of great products, I also like http://www.locarbdiner.net/

Just use caution, a lot of these low carb products can lead to bad LCing and can also pack on the pounds on slow your loss to a crawl!

I really love these products >
