i'd like to just give a short intro. im not new to this forum but i am new to this topic. i am 24 yrs old..mother to a wonderful 3 yr old little girl, Lindsey. i had been following the atkins diet since about August w/great success. but of course w/the holidays i spent the past month cheating. so here's the scoop...just as i was about to get serious & back on track i found out i was preggo. super shocked as it was not expected. but i am excited. only one fear....when i was preg w/my lil one i went from 118 to 174 in the delivery room. it has taken me this long to get down to 127 & i swore to myself i would never let myself get that big again. so i hope this pregnancy is different. as i will be low carbing. i would love any suggestions or advice on lcarbing while pregnant. thanks alot in advance!

Hi Lindseymom,

Congrads on the pregnancy. When are you due? The great thing about Atkins is that it teaches you how to eat & it something that you can keep in mind for the rest of your life. I would do maintence through out the pregancy don't worry about losing now. I've added more fruit to my diet.

You must live in San Antonio, I noticed you have the Alamo in front of TX. We're neighbors I'm NE of SA going towards Seguin.

My due date is 9/4/06.

My mom's ex husband's family has a 200 acre ranch in Floresville.

Hey lindsey's mom. I know how you feel I went from 118 to 162 with my son. Next time I have a child I definately don't want to gain as much.
