I just started following Dr. Perricone's recommendations, too many supplements to list here. I'm very curious to see how I do after taking them. (the list is about 7-10, depending on how you follow it)

On Atkins I take a daily aspirin, multi, chromium, fish oil in addition to the above.

Currently I take a multi, fiber, magnesium., chromium.

I recommend a "mega" multi-vitamin (not the one-a-day / synergy types), and fish oil for everyone.

Then for people like us (syndrome X, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome) -- chromium.

Choline, Inositol, and methionine are lipotropics -- help burn fat

Magnesium is a good choice.

IMHO fiber is over rated. Not sure if it is a woman / man thing (works better for women?).

You will need to take potassium -- as in salt substitute.

If you are over 40 then you might want to try DHEA (hormone)

then probably lots of antioxidants

garlic at night -- probiotics in the morning
