are these low carb and allowed on induction? They aren't specifically listed on my list.

Baked scallops are 4.9 carb grams for 6 oz. Baked scrod is 0 carbs, so eat hearty of the scrod, but I'd avoid (and did) the scallops until you get into OWL and you're adding more carbs. During induction you should try to get most of your carbs from the low GI veggies.
Hang in there! You're doing great!!

Whoa. Thanks Glenda. I WAS going to opt for the scallops. You saved me in the nick of time! Should have known it was too good to be true. Oh well, scrod is good too.

What kind of a fish is scrod? I've never used it and wouldn't have a clue what to do with it - is it a mild flavoured fish needing a sauce, or does it have some flavour of its own?
Yeah, bacon-wrapped scallops is one of my favourites but don't make a full meal of them at this stage - a couple to go with your scrod would probably not mess you up! One of my favourites as soon as I got near the end of induction was to do a stir-fry with onions, mushrooms, snow peas, tiger prawns and scallops. Helped keep me on track!!!

Hello! Scrod is a mild, white fish, but unlike flounder has a bit more texture to it. It is in the cod family. I usually broil mine with butter and garlic. I sqeeze of lemon when served.

I'll have to check with my favourite fish-monger. It might turn out that we call it something different on the west coast or it might just be that I've never noticed it before. Broiled with butter and garlic and served with lemon is my favourite way to do most cod, so I'm sure I'll like it!
Thanks, Glenda

I never see it on any food lists - Weight Watchers, Atkins...
but it is on many menus I've seen. It's extremely mild. Delish!
