Personally, I think satiation is better acheived by eating those foodstuffs that naturally do the trick, namely fats and to a lesser extent proteins.

I always felt I limited texture when dieting. I LOVE crunchy foods but most 'diet' foods are soft.

Eh, I'm already limiting flavors by cutting out bread, fruit, and carby dairy products. By keeping flavor variety high I stay satisfied with this lifeplan.

It might be a good idea for some people, though. I'm the kind of person that can stop at a candy bar or bowl of ice-cream. If you get the binge urges from tasty food it might help...
