Does anyone know how many carbs the mixed nuts are? You know the ones you can buy at Christmas (well anytime actually), not peanuts, just brazil, cashews, pecans, etc. Curious to know if they are high in carbs?

There's probably no single answer to this, because it depends on the mix! If they come in a package, it is probably stated on the label somewhere. If not, then you would have to add up each kind of nut and how many to get the count - and that would be a lot of trouble!

By the way, almonds and macadamia nuts are low in carbs; cashews are higher.

the higher the carbs. Don't eat "mixed" nuts. Cherry-pick the good stuff.

Peanuts are high because they're not a real nut, they're a legume. They're also very cheap, so they tend to fill out the mixes.

"Tree" nuts from inside a shell are pretty low, and expensive. (Expensive infrastructure.) This is everything else but cashews.

All sorts of debate on cashews. When you get really clean, you can taste that they're sweeter than other nuts, and that's the higher carb count you're tasting. But I think they're still lower than peanuts. They're also cheaper than other nuts, so they'll be #2 in volume in the mix.

The bigger problem: Stopping when you've had just one (serving). But then, if it's a choice between a binge on nuts and falling into the fudge, eat the nuts. The fiber helps mitigate the carbs, in my experience. And they're WAY better than sugar.
