How many carbs do you think are in chinese food meat dishes? Last time I went I got about four plates of mongolian pork w/ veggies.

I'd imagine there are quite a few carbs. If I were to guess, I'd say that it's the reason behind the old saying: "Chinese food doesn't stick to your ribs".
Translation: After a couple of hours you're hungry again. Sounds like (lots of) carbs to me. Even if you were to eat just the meat dishes, with no rice at all, who knows what goes into the sauces? You might be eating gravy made from flour and any number of sugary and/or carby bases.
I've grown a bit suspicious of restaurant foods, even ones that I thought were safe. IHOP even adds bisquick to their omelette egg base. So if you thought you were getting a healthy low-carb veggie omelette... well you aren't.

There are quite a few more than you would expect. The mongolian dishes usually have 1 tablespoon of sugar and a few tablespoons of oyster sauce in the sauces. Oyster sauce has quite a bit of carbs per tablespoon. I have seen some mongolian dishes made with up to 4 teaspoons of sugar, plus the extra oyster sauce. That is not including the few tablespoons of corn starch used to thicken the sauce.
I used to eat alot at chinese places, but I dont now, but instead make my favorite dishes at home, low carb style.
