An eye infection? or a sty? A sty is kinda like a small pimple
or infected eyelash folicle on the eye lid.

If it is a sty, take one regular tea bag soaked in a few
tablespoons of very hot water. Take the hot teabag (as hot as
you can stand), shake off any excess moisture, place on a
folded paper towel, and hold the teabag directly to the sty
for a while. Maybe up to an hour.

If it is an infection like pinkeye, go to the doctor and get
some anti biotic eye drops.

You can help it along by taking Vitamin C, anywhere from 1000
mg to 2 or 3000mgs, four or five times a day with food. If you
opt for the higher dosages and it upsets your stomach, cut it
back a bit 'til it agrees with you better.

Any real tea as opposed to herbal teas. Try orange pekoe or
earl grey.

Don't rightly know. As a child I got stys on a regular basis.
First one eye, then it would clear then the other eye then
that would clear. Every few months the same thing. My older
brother worked as a nursing aid in another province. He was
home on vacation and I got a sty. He applied the hot tea bag
to my eyes and I've not gotten a sty since. Not a single one
in over 35 years.

Doubt it. But, in my case, I never got another one, ever. It
did get rid of the problem.

Warm Compresses Warm compresses heat the debris and crust on
the lid margin to or above the melting point of their
individual components so that they are easily removed with the
lid scrubs. Technique: Soaking a washcloth in water as warm as
the eyelids can stand, and then placing the cloth on the lid
surface (eyelids closed) for a five to ten minute period. In
the acute phase this is performed 2 to 4 times day. We have
read about variations/innovations in the way warmth may be
applied to the eye. One method described is the use of a
fresh-boiled egg (in its shell wrapped in a washcloth).
Another method described is to use a stocking filled with
grains of uncooked dry rice heated in a microwave oven to a
comfortable warm temperature.

I would leave it alone except to treat it with a hot teabag or
a hot compress as I suggested. And start taking vitamin C
until you can see the doctor.

I was asked an opinion and I proferred it. Got a problem with
that? Go some place where freedom of speech is not valued.

Well, you practice nutrition with convoluted paranoia, in you
terms freedom of speech, but it doesn't mean you are remotely
close to being factual. You might as well practice medicine
without a license it's not much different.
