I bought a new bar from Atkins a few days ago, the Advantage Caramel Fudge brownie. I noticed that there were no trans fats, the saturated fat was still a little high for me and they are using glycerin to sweeten it, when I wish they were using some other things but it was a nice change from the sugar-alcohol filled bars. Anyone try these yet? Here are the ingredients, what do you think?

INGREDIENTS: PROTEIN BLEND (SOY PROTEIN ISOLATE, HYDROLYZED COLLAGEN, WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE SODIUM CASEINATE), GLYCERINE, POLYDEXTROSE,CARAMEL LAYER (POLYDEXTROSE, INULIN, BUTTER, NONFAT DRY MILK, SOY LECITHIN, SALT, VANILLIN), PALM KERNEL AND PALM OIL, COCOA POWDER (PROCESSED WITH ALKALI), DRY ROASTED ALMONDS, COCONUT OIL, BUTTER OIL, COCOA BUTTER, OLIVE OIL, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, SOY LECITHIN, CELLULOSE, GUAR GUM, MALTODEXTRIN, CITIRC ACID, MONO AND DIGYLCERIDES, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, SUCRALOSE, ACESULFAME POTASSIUM. NUTRITION BLEND: TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE, CALCIUM CARBONATE, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, VITAMIN A PALMITATE, ASCORBIC ACID, SODIUM ASCORBATE, THIAMIN MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE, CYANOCOBALAMIN, ALPHA TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, NIACINAMIDE, BIOTIN, CALCIUM PANTOTHENATE, ZINC OXIDE, FOLIC ACID, CHROMIUM CHELATE, PHYTONADIONE, SODIUM SELENITE

I tried the cookie-dough/caramel one a couple of days ago. It was tasty and smelled good. I'm not actually LOSING any weight (haven't in months!!) so I couldn't tell you if eating it affected my loss at all.

I've tried both varieties...both tasty. No sugar alcohol effects if you know what I mean. I don't have them everyday, but good for a chocolate fix.
