I am very impressed with myself! Took the kids out trick or treating, then came back and handed candy out to other trick or treaters. I had no temptations whatsoever! Yea!!! DH went out and bought some sf chocolates just in case the cravings hit him and they did. He took them to their grandparents to get candy and just seeing the kids with a few pieces of candy was tempting to him!

Anywho, this is for anyone to post any success with Halloween! :)

We live in a rural area and get no trick-or-treaters.....however, I did sub at the local school today, and resisted MANY goodies. ALso, my kids are grown, but still love candy. When they are here visiting, they know they have to keep it out of sight :-)

Today we had all kinds of candy and snacks at work. I didn't eat one thing. Then tonight, my kids got a ton of candy and I was handing out candy, too. But I never once had a craving for any of it.

I'm not even deep into Atkins, so to speak, I'm only on day 2 of starting over, but I SURVIVED!!!! Ate lots of protein before going out (so did the kids!) and was not interested in theirs when we got back. I ate cauliflower soup and pumpkin cheesecake while they gorged. I'm so happy!!!

Not out of the woods yet, but motivated to keep going!

I could actually smell the sugar wofting from the candy bowl every time I had to answer the door. Needless to say, I was very tempted, but managed to behave. (Well, I did stash a few pieces away for a future cheat day :p )

I have tons of candy left at my house. I know that my DH will eat the Reeses and my DD will eat Butterfingers. Jojo the baby will eat a few lollipops, but thats it. I brought a hugh bag of candy here to work with me for everyone else to eat. There is always candy sitting out here in the office but it doesn't bother me at all. I have to admit though that the Kit Kats at home were calling my name but I resisted :)

No candy for this girl. :D

I have four pails of candy filled to the rim.. I let the kids have a few treats of their choice over the week following the holiday, and then I fish out all of the chocolate items, smash it all to heck in a freezer ziploc, and freeze it to throw in cookies throughout the year.

Becki, I love the freezer idea for the candy. I might have to try that---it would be a good mix-in for vanilla ice cream too. I save a lot of ours for the movies (for the kids!). It beats having to spend an extra $10 for a tiny bit of candy!

I had a BITE of a chocolate my husband was eating, and thought I may blow it and eat that plus everything my son just took in! But I refrained! That was it....passed up a lot today too. Everyone was bringing in their candy leftovers trying to get rid of it. NONE FOR ME, thank you very much!!!! :cheer:

Curses! You're all SOOOO good!
I had some butter and salt popcorn, plus some chocolate and put back my pound I lost the week before.
First cheat in a few months though. Back to it this week!

I had more trouble resisting last night. I had to eat my pumpkin cheesecake while the kids were having "dessert" or I would have caved.
