Love the raw hazelnut butter... hate the shipper. Futters uses DHL, which I have heard nothing but complaints about and have nothing but complaints for. I ordered the product on the ninth, and still have yet to receive anything more than a phone call saying "we can't find your house." Odd; FedEx and UPS have never had problems finding my house. So, I told them to drop it off where I work, and I guess they can't find that, either.

I'm contacting Futters about a refund. My hopes are very, very low. From now on I'm going to ask BEFORE I order just to verify they're going to use a reputable shipper and not DHL.

The problem with DHL is that they use independent contractors. None of the delivery people are employees, they all own their transportation. They do this to save money on taxes and avoid paying employee benefits. They're crooks. Boycott DHL.

DHL said they couldn't find my house and asked if my house had the number visible from the outside. Although I've been living here for almost a year now, my brain just froze up. I have, however, sent Futters Customer Service a picture of my large and clearly displayed house number. I love camera phones.

Good news: Finally got the product at work
Bad news: BOTH jars were smashed, it looks as if the box had been opened, the plastic ring was missing from the one jar that was nearly dented, and in order to process a return, I have to dig them out from underneath a pile of guinea pig crap. And, I was so upset at the smashed jars that I over-ate. My stomach usually turns off when I'm upset, unless the reason I'm upset is directly related to food. Odd, huh?

Mixed news... ultimately my fault for mistyping my address. Part of being a Neanderthal Hybrid is that the interaction of the Neanderthal and the Cro-Magnon part of my brain sometimes result in errors in the use of letters or numbers, "Hyperlexia" and "Dyscalculia" are the official terms for these syndromes, respectively.

I'm listening to Concrete Blonde until I feel better. There's something about Gothic hard rock that communicates, "life is horrible, and that's pretty neat, isn't it?"
