I didn't know where to post this, so i'll do it here. I was looking for reccomendations and reviews on various nutrition food scales. Scales that have precalculated information all hundreds of various objects for use in dieting. I have never used a food scale before, but I want to do it now, as its near impossible to measure certain things in the proper way to record my intake without one.

I have been keeping my eye on this one. Anyone ever use it?

I always thought it was kind of a waste of time trying to program in every detail about a piece of food into a scales because its so inflexible. If you've got a piece of software on computer it can tell you the nutritional info if you enter the weight of the object in. Plus you can add more information to it as you go along.

I bought a nice postal scale that weights up to 5 pounds at Staples and use that plus Fitday on my PC.

Looks like a neat gadget......I use a regular digital food scale, and am happy with it. HOWEVER, I'm in favor of anything that helps you and/or motivates you. Good luck!

I do the same as Nancy, but instead of the postal scale I use an inexpensive wal-mart ounce food scale, (5 bucks) and the MyPlan on this site.
