hi ya'll

i hardly ever eat a bar, but i am always looking because i used to keep one in my purse and the prodcut is always changing. who knows what's good or good for you, know what i mean?

anyway, i was looking at this new bar that was on sale for a buck at raleys. i noticed it was put out by dexatrim and was a two carb bar, entire bar, doesn't sound too bad. i started reading the breakdowns and ingredients, and saw the second or thierd ingredient was tapioca starch. , now, i don't know where my book is, so i haven't looked it up, but tapioca starch sounds like a suspiciouss character. does anyone know, is it?

this is getting to be like that corn syrup thing, i'm still seeing corn syrup everywhere and not where you'd think it would be. can't tell you how many lowered carb products of checked out only to realize i missed the corn syrup addition. drat it

so, tapioca starch, what is the low down folks? :D

have a fab and fit day! :hyper: :yay: :wiggle:

thanks in advance

I eat Atkins bars and Slim Fast Low Carb. I have also eaten the Low Carb Odessey bars (lots of cals) and the Genisoy LC bars. Looks like I eat a lot of them, but I just like to try everything. I've tried a power bar brand and threw it out. It was gross. The others I've mentioned are tasty, IMO.

Definitely sounds suspicious....I agree! The work 'starch' sends up big red flags!! I'd avoid it if I were you.
