This is a good sauce for simply cooked fish.
I was asked about this recipe in another part of the board, but am posting it here as probably a more suitable location. [note that I'm giving quantities in US pints, which are 16 fl oz compared with 20 fl oz for a UK pint]
To about 3/4 pint mayonnaise (bought, or made with 3 egg yolks and about half a pint of oil), add:
3-4 Tbsp chopped sour pickles;
3-4 Tbsp chopped capers;
2-4 Tbsp chopped fresh green herbs (eg parsley, chives, tarragon);
1/2 tsp anchovy paste (or pureed anchovy).
Just mix everything together.
