You can break down your 2 cups dairy a day any way you want them to be.

A word of caution though....it is best to get a variety of foods into your plan each day. Our bodies adapt to the foods we eat and when we eat the same things over and over again, it is not optimal for losing weight.

Dairy is also cottage cheese, yogurt, milk, cheese, laughing cow light cheese, lt sour cream.

So- can you have flavored yogurt no sugar added Lite kind or only fatfree plain?

Welcome TeacherMom!

The rule is fat free and sugar free yogurt. I think that for phase I, it is important to follow this rule. You can add things like splenda and extracts for flavor, also sugar free flavored syrups.

I'm in phase II getting close to phase III and have been for many months. I have made modification to my food plan that work for me. I have found that I really enjoy Dannon Carb Control yogurts. They come in 1/2 cup servings and are made with splenda BUT, they do have 3 gms of fat. I don't have a problem with this because I'm more concerned with sugar than fat.

YMMV!!
