Has anyone tried Sweet One or Acesulfame Potassium for baking? I don't really like the flavor of Splenda or Equal. I really like Coke Zero which has apartame and ace-K I believe. I love baking, and am hoping I can still do it when I'm finished with induction.

I've used it before. I dont like the taste by itself as to me it has a bad aftertaste and is a little bitter. However it works great in small amounts when you mix it with other sweeteners, and in conjunction with them makes the whole taste much better than any one of them by themselves. I usually use splenda and/or stevia and/or cyclamate. Equal (aspartame) is not very good to use in cooking as it really isnt very stable and also loses its sweetness.

I totally agree with LukeA. Combine Splenda with the SweetOne (or Sunsweet or, as mine is labeled, DiabetiSweet). Together, they are sweeter than when used separately, so you may have to cut down on the quantity. For me the taste is best with a little more Splenda and a little less of the other stuff.

I'll try mixing Splenda and SweetOne. I know that Splenda is the best for baking, I just can't stand the taste. I've heard that before about ace-k improving other AS. I'll let you know how it turns out!
