Ice Therapy

How long should I wait after using ice before working out? I
must say, after using ice on my elbow for a month my elbow has
been nearly pain free for the first time in years!

icing, daily, for a month, you might want professional
diagnosis and treatment. Icing is usually used occasionally,

I have no opinion because it is a non-issue. Why would there
be a limit on how often you can (I assume you mean should) ice
an area? Once every 5-7 days for, let's say, your entire life,
would cause what harm?

If you're worried that the underlying problem isn't going
away, and is requiring weekly icing, my original advice
returns: go see an appropriate medical professional and get an
accurate diagnosis.

I'm concerned of possible problems caused by over-doing it
with the ice. It definitely helped me so far as far as relief
from discomfort. I didn't really think about possibly causing
problems from too much use of ice. I assumed it was common
practice to use ice on many athletes after the game such as
pitchers' arms, etc.

And go see a good Ortho'. Preferably one that deals with
sports medicine.
