We all know you cant spot reduce so lets save that lecture/speech. For me my thighs are solid as a rock now, and its all owed to squats. I started doing 25 a day with a stabilty ball behind my back against a wall. Then I moves on to doing them against the wall with weights in my hands. Now I have a bosu ball and I do 100 a day. There is not a single jiggle in either thigh.

Lots of people do lunges but I always hated doing them so I dont. lol.

If you want to build muscle (which minimizes appearance of cellulite) do swats with a barbell. I forget what its called but you put the barbell on your shoulders and swat. Do three sets of 8 reps each. You should have heavy enough weight that you couldn't do a 9th rep.

Doing millions of squats is more aerobic and won't build as much lean muscle.

You can't spot reduce fat by doing any exercise.... your body will release fat when and where it wants to. No exercise will tell your body to take the fat off the thighs, stomach, butt, etc...

The type of exercises that Holly and Urban are great exercises to help firm up the muscles in your thighs. When the fat does come off these exercises will have toned up your muscles.

Something that helped me tone my thighs was reverse lunges.

If you dont build muscle and lose weight you will look flabby. Skinny, but flabby. Don't worry about bulking up, you won't. It will just look nice and firm.

Pilates builds lean muscle. I would recommend pilates very highly. When I first started it was a bit odd, but I got used to it and now I really look forward to it. It has made an unbelievable differencee in my legs (a place I tend to carry excess weight). Good luck!
PS Mari Winsor has a nice collection of pilates dvds and there are a bunch of others out there, of course. If you have access to a studio, that can be great, too as an intro.

I have never seen a runner with thick thighs, so maybe that has to be your kind of exercise.

A 'runner' here is someone who does about 10 km in an hour a couple of times a week.

My wife does this, and she started all by herself with a 'running half a minute, walk a minute' system.

It might not, if your skin is stretched there is only so much you can do. Pilates is a type of exercise, windsorpilates.com is a good one to try.

Do a search for pilates on the internet, google or something.
