I am very new to low carbs. I started Atkins yesterday, and from what I read I think I did ok for the day.

I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, and kielbasa and squash for dinner.

Now I keep reading on the boards that I can eat normally, but how much? What is the limits , if there are any? I am fluctuating between 210 and 205 atm now, but I really would like to lose about 10 to 15 pounds before October if I can. Ideally get my weight to possibly 190.

I am just concerned I am eating the wrong foods. I have the inductions foods list from atkins site. I have no problems following the guide. My big issues is with veggies. I love veggies. I included some squash in last nights meal.

Any advice on how people made it through the first 2 weeks. Whats weird is I never ever think of food, but since I started this diet ( only yesterday ) that is all that has been on my mind. Thing is I want to do it correctly the first time.

Sounds like you're on the right track. If you have the acceptable foods list and already love veggies, that's half the Induction battle. The first two weeks can be tough; you may experience strong cravings and even feel sick for awhile, but you can do anything for 14 days, right?

Websites are great places for advice, personal experiences and support, but they don't replace investing in a copy of the book that explains your plan in its truest form. Welcome to the forums and all the best on your journey!

Just stick to it, I tell everybody to go out and buy the Atkins Induction vitamin kit, Which comes with a very strong multivitamin, appetite control, Oils, and fat burner. My first month into induction (yes month) I lost an average of 5 lbs a week, with the vitamins about 8 lbs a week. Alot less cravings and alot more energy

If you love veggies you're on the right plan :) You could have had a veggie omelet in the morning (add chopped spinach, bit of onion and peppers), a nice big salad topped with meat and full-fat dressing for lunch and had a nice serving of broccoli/cauliflower/peppers/zucchini/mushrooms with your squash and kielbasa (and maybe some saurkraut??).

Take a look at the rules of Induction again - 2 cups salad veggies and 1 cup other veggies per day minimum. Also, if you use something like www.fitday.com to track your carbs you'll see that once you subtract the fibre grams from total number of carbs for the day you can actually have even more veggies daily (depending on your other carb sources like eggs, cheese, bacon, cream, mayo, salad dressing, etc).

Mainly you just have to remember to stay away from starchy veggies (potatoes, corn, carrots, peas) and go easy on higher carb acceptable veggies like onions and tomatoes (well, technically a fruit, I guess :p ).

Re-read the Induction list and rules and you'll be doing it "correctly the first time" like you want :)
