Hello all!

I am really depressed. I was on SB a month ago and stuck to it for 1 1/2 weeks and then quit. I have since restarted about 5 times since then. I have also gained back the 5#s I lost plus. I now can't fit into my "fat" jeans anymore. I just saw a pic my mother-in-law took of me and I can't believe how fat I have gotten, I now have a double chin! I need someone to help me stick to eating healthy. I just get so overwhelmed with how much weight I need to lose that I just give up and binge for a whole day, then wake up feeling even worse.

Also, what does not help is that my husband is losing weight, but he can still eat whatever he wants. He just had Chef Boyardee for lunch and he is bragging about how loose his pants are. Meanwhile I am munching on rabbit food with steam coming out of my ears. I am also killing myself at the gym and he rarely goes.

I am visiting Vegas in Nov and am meeting up with my best friend from high school. She is now down to a size 8 and wants to hang by the pool all the time. But all I want to do is hang out in a dark casino with pants on! I have to look good in 3 months or else. All I want to do is stuff diet pills and exlax but I know better than that. SB is the way to go. Can anyone offer any encouragement?

Thanks so much! I love this room!

Hi GW,
I'm sorry that you're feeling so down right now. For what it's worth, my only advice would be to commit to one whole cheat free month. I know it's not easy, believe me. (the only time I'm not surrounded by temptation is when I'm sleeping!) But I'm guessing that if you lost 5 pounds in a week and a half, you would probably lose close to 15 pounds in a whole month. That kind of progress can be very motivating all by itself. Plus, you'll be craving carbs a lot less by then and those jeans will be falling off of you as well. Then, with all of that success to motivate you, you shoot for another cheat free month and the next thing you know you're over half way towards your goal. Or maybe set weekly goals if that works better for you. Also, the plan allows for a lot more than just rabbit food. Maybe mix it up a little so you don't feel so deprived. Anything that helps you stick to the plan is a good thing. As corny as it, its just like lotto, you have to be in it to win it.

P.S. I'd love to learn more about your husbands Chef Boyardee diet. :)

I am so sorry you are depressed. I am not on SB anymore. I did try it for a couple of months but found I do better on Atkins. I agree with toasyboy. Try doing it cheatfree for a month. You can do it. Don't worry about what hubby does. Men can lose weight a lot faster than women as a rule.
