Okay, so today was rainy and grey all day. I had planned to go to the gym but I was considering staying home and watching daytime tv (The View, Dr. Phil etc) It is so much easier to just stay at home and sit on the couch (or worse, lie in bed) don't ya think?

Well, long story short-- I ended up talking myself in to venturing out to the gym for weights and cardio. Now, this could have easily ended up a "talking myself in to stay home" situation!

When I was there, I thought to myself, "hey-- I did it. I actually made it here and I am doing good." And then I thought about all the rest of you making little decisions every minute, every day, every month to stay on plan, to stay motivated and to get some exercise.

Think about it for a minute-- we used to eat french fries and cookies and muffins and now we just turn our noses up at those greasy, sugar laden treats. Think about how far we have come (even if we have only lost one pound so far).

I just want to say that you guys are doing one heck of a great job and I want all of you to stay motivated and to continue making those on-plan, healthy choices. I am so glad that I did today.

Just wanted to share that with all of you (hey, feel special, I was actually thinking about you guys today!)

For my little victory today, while driving around I actually pulled in to the parking lot of a McDonalds to check my directions. I did not get anything. Yay for me!

I was at Wal-Mart tonight and the line was really long and slow (nothing new there!). I kept eyeing the Snickers bars, a bad bad weakness of mine in the past. I looked at them and could even remember what they tasted like, but I just passed them up. Sometimes when that happens, I will go home and eat bad foods because my craving gets the best of me. Nope, didn't do it. Drank some water, got on the computer, and patted myself on the back!

I didn't run and buy the huge sam;s club carrot cake I wanted to last night. lol

I went to bed and talked on the phone to friends instead.

That was really hard for me because I am having my moontime.
so, I opted for a keto cocoa and several squirts of whipped cream in my mouth and cup. LOL

I was having lunch out with my 11 year old daughter on Friday - and she ordered this big thing of french fries. I adore french fries, and they are the only thing I've never discovered an even semi-adequate low carb substitute for. I also have not eaten even one since I started LC on 4-18-05.

Anyway, when the waitress set the plate of fries in front of her, my right hand started to come up from my lap and across the table. Like it had a mind of its own. LOL. I stopped immediately before anyone but me noticed my aborted move on her fries.

I was very impressed with myself that I didn't even take one. I just sat quietly and inhaled the greasy fumes, and thought about the thin me slowly emerging from a french fry haze....
