Hi all. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Brenda and I live in british colmbia. I am starting the atkin's low carb diet as I am tired of being sore. I have osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and colitis...I have tried this before and felt better but life has a way of getting in the way. I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions where I can get low carb stuff? :help:

Brenda, welcome to the forum. I'm in BC too, in Victoria. It really depends where you live what's available. There aren't too many "products" available here now. Zellers carries some things like cereal.
Given that you've done LC before, I assume you have read a book (or several) on the subject and know what foods are on the list for your plan. I tend to shop the perimeter of the grocery stores and stay out of the aisles where all the junk is.
Take care and happy LC-ing.

Be sure to visit the section of the board for folks in Canada. Lots of suggestions there for shopping.

Welcome to you! :)
I am in the US also, but I am guessing that Canadian stores are similar? Buy whole foods and skip the low carb "products." Eggs, meat, veggies, cheese... these will ensure your success. :agree:
Good luck!

Hi Brenda. I Live At The Other End Of The Country. Just Today I Went To The States And Let Me Tell You They Have Everything From Dairy Products To Cereals Crackers And Even Their Diet Soda Is Made With Splenda Go Figure.
If You Go To The Health Food Places In The Malls They Usually Carry Bars And Shakes But Once You Get Going You Will Find That You Don't Really Care To Have Alot. The Gnc Health Place Offers Some Just Expensive.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement! Think that is why I didn't stick to it last time. I didn't realize there was a Canadian forum too...can I get the link please. Best of luck to all of you.
