I've been going to the gym everyday since november, but now i've started to slack off, i haven't gone since tuesday and feel real bad about it; i do plan on going the rest of the week tho. How often do you guys go? and do you ever feel guilty like i feel now when you skip a session? I only got like 5 hours of sleep and felt i just couldn't go today.

I workout out 6x a week.... but this week has been really rough for me. I've been fighting off an infection that has really sapped my energy.

Yes, I feel guilty for missing my workouts. OTOH I also know that sometimes it's a good thing to give our bodies a break.

I'm planning on getting back to the treadmill and weights full force on Monday. Make sure you make a committment to yourself to get back to the gym on a specific date....

I feel one should take some time off off just to rest and recover. I am surprised after taking a short break that I am stronger and more motivated then before. Your body will tell you when it needs rest. You are doing a great job, wait till you go back you will feel energized I predict!

im fighting a cold too, thats why i've been so lazy. I plan on getting back on tomorrow tho.

I go to the gym twice a week. Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday I do 30 min hard cardio and all upper body weights, about 40 minutes worth. Thursday I do 30 min hard cardio and all lower body weights about 30 minutes worth. I throw some abs in there also. I typically work out 4-5 days a week. Wednesday I usually do an hour of Tae bo. I might hit up the gym on Saturday just for some cardio. Sometimes I go rollerblading for 7 miles, I have a buttload of work out DVDs and videos so I keep it interesting. If you work out 6 times a week your body might get used to it and then if you don't work out for however long it will wonder what the hell happened! I try and stick to 4, 5 if I'm really motivated, cuz I don't want to overdo it. :)
