Sorry, I didn't go back to eating the regular foods, but I have been eating way too much low carb fare and have gained five pounds. I know my thyroid is the culprit and the meds aren't working! I am sick of not having energy again! I did buy kelp today as well as some coconut oil so we'll see if that helps! I honestly don't know how to get rid of this! I have done some research and have been seeing that soy isn't good for folks with underactive thyroids. Have you been eating anything with soy? I had some soy chips a few weeks ago and think that may be the culprit. Not sure, this is just theory!

I don't think soy chips in your past would permenently affect your thyroid. Just avoid it when you can. Personally, I don't get too worked up if I have a bit of soy. Although I am on thyroid hormones, perhaps if your thyroid is already flailing soy can tip it to the down side for a day or two.

Being super low carb might also negatively impact your thyroid.
