I'm sure all of you guys will find it difficult to control your enthusiasm when you hear that the FDA has approved and injectable form of lizard saliva for the treatment of type 2 diabetes;

Ok it is a drug derived from lizard saliva - and the results of a 30 week trial are underwhelming to say the least - but careful you might get trampled in the rush to 'get some lizard into you', rather than boring old dietary control! :)

And yes I think Lilly is one of the ADA's favourite sponsors, why do you ask?

Most doctors and most patients are always looking for a quick fix - a pill or a shot - rather than diet and exercise, even when the "quick fix" doesn't really work.
