I am doing induction... and lets just say things are stuck. I feel bloated and miserable and my TOM was like a week and a half ago and it came back a little today...which is really strange for me. I had been following WW and All Bran (with 13 net carbs) was really keeping me regular (but it does have sugar and corn syrup) It has been so hard for me to give up, but I am wondering if I have to. As long as I use heavy cream (with water) with my All Bran would that be ok? And then just eat low carb greens for the rest of my carbs while I am doing induction? I have to do something. Ground Flax Seed does not work for me and I was thinking of trying psylium husks but really find All Bran to work GREAT. Any advice would be Welcomed

1 tbsp psyllium husk powder (or 1 tsp whole psyllium husks) in 1 cup water 2x per day (on arising and before bed) really works. Mind you, you also need to drink LOTS of water - at least 64oz - because all the fiber in the world can't help you if you're mildly dehydrated.
FYI, when starting a LC plan, it's not unusual to have spotting or break-through-bleeding as your body's hormonal levels are affected. Give it a month or so to settle down.
PS. If you are on birth control pills, don't take them at the same time as the psyllium. ;)

Thanks for the advice. WOW ! YOU LOOK GREAT ! Quite inspired by you !
I will get some of that psyllium powder. I think I can manage 2 weeks without All Bran. I really want to give my body the best start it can on LC.
Any other info you might have aquired along your LC path that helped you to success would be recieved with open arms.
Thanks again !

someone had posted on here that your cycles can be "messed up" as in not yournormal for 3-4 months/cycles... i know my first back LCing was much heavier than normal - but the good news is that over and over i hear that after your body adjusts, they are lighter, easier, and less PMS-y
woo hoo :)
